Bentleigh Station to reopen
After several months enduring a complete transformation, Bentleigh Station will officially reopen on Monday August 29. Australian Handrails were one of many companies that spent significant time and resources on the revamp, installing an assortment of architectural metal works.
Handrails, balustrades and perforated panels were applied during the project, with similar renovations taking place at fellow Frankston line stations Ormond and McKinnon as part of the Andrews State Government’s Level Crossing Removal scheme.
It has been a lengthy process that began back in June, with a number of organisations including John Holland Contractors, Coleman Rail and Geotechnical Engineering as well as Australian Handrails working around the clock ever since.
Whilst there will be ongoing labour at Bentleigh, the station will be available for the public to use, bringing relief to commuters who rely on railway services on the Frankston line to access their workplace.
As the revamp of Bentleigh Station draws to a close, Australian Handrails has once again delivered on a project that will benefit the community and improve public transport in Victoria.
